BENNETT C. RUSSELL ELEMENTARY
Welcome to Bennett C. Russell Elementary!
I am so very proud of our students, parents, and staff. Russell Elementary is a community of learners that is exceeding expectations! Before becoming the principal, I served as the assistant principal here at BRE for three years. I am honored to continue to serve the students, families, and staff of Russell Elementary.
Our parents play a very important role in this success as well. As the child’s first teacher, all of our parents are responsible for staying in contact with the classroom teachers. This interaction demonstrates the importance of the home/school connection. Our parents are also responsible for making sure their children are prepared for the school day and arriving to school on time.
Russell Elementary is a safe place to learn and grow. We have received a “Gold Status” as identified by the Florida Positive Behavior Support program. Our students take part in a very strong character building program. Each day our students are reminded of our Soar Expectations. Through these programs our students are helping build a community of students who will become respected and productive members of their communities in which they live.
I encourage you to become involved in the many volunteering opportunities at our school. As a Title I School, there are other opportunities to serve, such as the School Advisory Council and the District Parent Advisory Council. Contact the school today to become involved!
My office is always open to discuss your child’s needs and their academic growth and learning. Drop by anytime! I encourage you to visit our school Where Students Believe and Achieve!
